GEORGE KATAKO
George has been with SCG since the beginning. His role involves organisation and strategy development, teaching, training and developing staff and clients, technical work and leading the effort to build a marketing system that can lead SCG to be number 5 in the industry in Ghana. He is passionate about using his accounting knowledge and business experiences to help other businesses and strives to get young people to plan their lives and build their own foundations for long term success. George is a serious
minded professional who always keeps his promises and is not afraid to take a stand.

COLLINS BOATENG
In his role as the audit partner, Collins is responsible for growing and managing the audit function as business. He is involved in strategy development, quality assurance and building relationships with client. He is also responsible for ensuring that throughout the firm, we have adequate learning and training programs, and our staff prepare adequately for their certification exams. Collins is passionate about doing things right at the first instance, and is an advocate for making the pursuit of high standards a habit. When he isn’t developing the business, Collins spends his time reading both technical and motivational items.

Emile VORGBE
Emile manages the audit department and together with the other partners, he works on strategies to develop the business. In addition to planning and reviewing audit assignments, he is heavily involved in developing and managing the audit team, securing appropriate technology, developing processes for growing the business unit. Emile is technical, detail orientated and is great at talking to clients about how they use audit findings to improve their business. He believes strongly that an audit should add value and that a carefully planned, an audit could provide assurance as well as contribute to growing a business. When he's not thinking about how to grow the audit business, you can find him listening to Hillsong or relaxing at the beach.
Our Administration Team

ALEX DSANE
Our Chief Operating Officer, Alex supervises the payroll services unit and the support units of the firm. He plays a key role in setting the strategic direction of the firm and supporting the Managing Partner in implementing the firm’s marketing initiatives. Alex is an organized professional and highly respected member of the firm. He enjoys team building, having a solution-oriented approach to issues and availing the firm of the breadth and depth of his experience. Alex has over 30 years’ experience in accounting, auditing, banking and general management. He loves to read and is passionate about quality service and establishing, negotiating and managing effective working relationships.

Ivy Amoako-Mensah
The quality of our people is critical to our success. Ivy advises and assists managers of the firm in implementing appropriate HR policies for managing the Human Resources of their Unit. She is good at planning, organizing and coordinating with people in the firm. She enjoys researching various HR topics to develop her own knowledge and skills to meet the high standards of the firm. She is passionate about helping SCG build an organization that is both demanding, fun to work in and values integrity and professionalism. Ivy loves to travel and her dream is to see the world.

Frank Oduro
Frank's role involves ensuring the SCG ICT infrastructure is current and relevant to the business and is being used effectively. He ensures that the business is adequately protected from cyber threats and other disasters for business continuity. Frank enjoys learning and understanding business processes, finding IT solutions for business problems, and continually working on self-development.

DORCAS OSEI AKOTO
Dorcas is an Administrative Assistant and manages the front office whilst attending to clients. She provides secretarial and administrative support to the HR Manager, Senior Manager and Partners and coordinate office events. Dorcas ensures that the office runs smoothly and that the filing system is kept in order. Dorcas loves to cook and is passionate about helping people wherever she can. Clients often commend her on her wonderful smile.
Our Audit Team

WILLIAM ACQUAH
William joined SCG straight from university and 6 years later, is part of the furniture. His role involves supervising and coaching junior auditors and trainees and, leading client audit engagements. William enjoys exploring the various features of the software SCG uses so that he and the team can work more efficiently. When he’s not spending time with his family, William can be found watching football or listening to Notorious BIG.

Benjamin ASOMANI
Benjamin joined SCG in 2014 and has risen from trainee to an associate in the audit unit. In his role, he is heavily involved in planning and executing audit assignments for the clients. He has a keen interest in technology and is the technology champion of the audit unit. As a tech champion his role is to ensure that the team uses our software tools effectively by updating the software, training the staff and troubleshooting software problem. Benjamin is proud of the fact that, as a chemistry graduate, SCG’s training programs have helped put him strongly on his journey becoming a professional accountant. Benjamin spends his time playing video games, watching movies and football, reading, listening to music and hanging out with friends and family.

Daniel Nii Tettah Adjierteh
Daniel has been with SCG for a year and he is loving the interest the firm shows is catching up with the pace of technology. “IT is definitely taking over every aspect of our lives including the audit.” As a junior associate, he is responsible for carrying out audit field works and ensuring the accurate reporting of client financials. Daniel is very passionate about implementing IT in his field of work to ensure client satisfaction and self-improvement. During his free time, he spends time playing and watching football, reading, music and hanging out with friends and family.

BEATRICE ODJOH-ANYOMI
Beatrice is an associate in the audit unit. She studied Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the University and joined SCG in 2014 as a trainee. Passionate about helping small businesses in Ghana grow, working with SCG was a good fit. She is responsible for planning audits, testing controls, performing audit tests and preparing audit reports for clients. She takes keen interest in understanding her clients’ businesses, evaluating their internal controls and recommending ways in which clients can improve. When Beatrice is not doing audits, she spends time working in her backyard garden, learning French, reading or spending time with family and friends.
Our CAS Team

Amos Adu
Amos is the manager of the Client Accounting Services unit. He initiates, drives and coordinates various internal programmes designed by the firm and the department. Amos is skilled at managing people, processes and customer relationships. He enjoys motivating people and look for opportunity to add value to client business. He is pragmatic and progressive and likes to challenge himself with new ideas and approaches to achieve results. Amos is a firm believer in team building and synergy. He loves to read management, leadership and motivational books and articles. 'Our Iceberg is Melting' by John Kotter is his favorite.

Ellen Nimako
Ellen’s role involves onboarding and setting up of new clients, preparing financial statements, reviewing and drafting of accounting policies, reviewing bookkeeping activities & managing and assigning jobs. She’s also into streamlining internal and clients’ workflow, analyzing business performance and helping clients grow their business by leveraging on technology. Ellen enjoys reading and researching and constantly seeks to upgrade her skills and capabilities. She’s a preferred client advisor in accounting, Xero software, taxes, finance and has a reputation for getting things done and exceeding client’s expectation. When she’s not helping others, Ellen loves singing and listening to “endless love” by Diana Ross & Lionel Richie.

MERCY BADU
Mercy joined SCG in 2009 and has been involved in building and managing the Client Accounting Service Unit since she joined the firm. She is currently the Finance manager and her role involves managing the internal financial affairs of the firm. She is also in charge of client on-boarding, assisting clients with advisory services, and helping clients to implement accounting policies and procedures. Mercy is passionate about the business growth of her clients. Her clients often commend her on her time management skills and service delivery. Mercy’s career goal is to become an entrepreneur, and in her spare time, she loves to cook, watch movies or travel around.

Eyra Gnanih
Eyra spends her days bookkeeping, filing tax returns and ensuring that clients are tax compliant. She is a perfectionist and SCG clients commend her for her diligence and high level of service. Eyra is passionate about client business growth and enjoys advising clients based on their accounting numbers. She loves to travel and, in her spare time, Eyra swims, listens to Aretha Franklin or dreams about being an Operations Manager or an entrepreneur.

ERIC SARPONG
Eric is the firm’s internal accountant he is great with keeping the firms accounts intact for decision making purposes and is passionate about improving relationships with clients. Eric enjoys reading and innovation and his goal is to be able to blend his business ideas with that of accounting knowledge to benefit his clients in finding new opportunities. Eric believes success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm and as such he is always seeking continuous improvement. When Eric isn’t crunching the numbers, he loves to watch his favorite movie. ‘secretariat’ .
Our Payroll Team

Patience Dogbo
Patience is the team leader of the payroll team and a payroll expert. Her role involves managing the team, processes and technology to provide payrolls – critical service accurately and on time. She often consults and advises clients on payroll related issues. She is often commended for patience, understanding and clear articulation when she consults for clients. When she's not hard at work, Patience spends time reading (her favourite book is Goals by Brian Tracy) and cooking.

Jessica Blagogee
As a senior associate in the payroll unit, Jessica is responsible for ensuring that the day to day operations run smoothly. She works with the team and staff to resolve problems. She is involved in improving payroll processes and is always open to learning new things and finding easier ways of getting things done. Her aspiration is to be a management consultant and feels that her role gives her opportunity to develop the skills that will help her achieve her aspirations. In her spare time, when she's not exercising, she enjoys reading. Her favourite book is The Slight Edge.

ABIGAIL PETERS
Abigail joined SCG straight after university and has grown with the firm for the past 18 months. Her role includes collating client payroll information, processing payroll and generating reports within a short time frame. Abigail is the resident problem-solver for admin related issues - she raises invoices for payroll team and liaises with the finance team on invoicing for the payroll unit. She enjoys helping colleagues wherever possible. When she's not hard at work, Abigail can be found writing or reading. Her favourite book is "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter.

PENELOPE HAIZEL
Penelope has been with SCG since 2013. She is responsible for the accurate and timely payment and processing of payroll data. Her role requires a sound understanding of legislative changes and rules on topics such as tax exemptions, paid annual leave and national insurance. She is highly organised and detailed oriented and clients often commend her on her efficiency and lovely nature. Penelope loves to travel and her dream job is to be a flight attendant so that she can travel the world. She has a keen interest in interior design and loves a good book.

MARIAN BOTCHWAY
Marian has been with SCG since 2015. As a payroll officer, her role includes collating client data, process payroll, generating payroll reports and advising clients on payroll related issues. She is a friendly, open-minded person, fun loving and is eager about helping others and making a difference. Clients often commend her on being accurate and timely. Marian enjoys working in a team and resolving issues. In her spare time, she loves to sew.

Our Tax Team

Ebenezer Tom ASAAM
Ebenezer's role involves assigning tasks to tax juniors in areas of return preparation and filing, responding to general tax queries from clients, leading discussions on tax legislations, and supervising and managing his tax team. Ebenezer enjoys discussions on tax laws and their impact on clients businesses. He is meticulous and diligent and is passionate about conflict resolution. During his spare time, you'll find him reading or watching his favourite movie, Titanic.

URSULA ODAME
Ursula has been with SCG for 3 years. She is responsible for GRA registrations, preparation of annual tax computations and returns for both corporate and individuals, VAT and WHT reconciliations, as well as handling GRA queries on behalf of clients. Ursula enjoys advising clients on their tax issues and always strive to keep her clients compliant and updated with the tax laws. In her spare time, she can be found listening to gospel songs or reading motivational books.

BETSY ADOO
Betsy works as an administrative support to the tax department. Her role includes assisting with GRA registrations, preparation and filing of annual returns, corporate tax, individual tax, withholding tax and Value Added Tax returns on behalf of clients and managing administrative related issues of the tax department. Betsy believes attention to detail, processes and proper organization is essential to working effectively. Betsy is keen on developing her knowledge about tax laws. In her spare time, she loves to read, listen to music or spend time with family.

The 2019 SCG Staff Durbar
Our team at SCG reviewed the companies 2018 regional performance during a Staff Durbar at Cleaver house recently. The purpose was to look at the mission & vision of the company, to focus on the people (our greatest assets) of SCG, to review the financial performance, and to ensure that our technology is advanced enough to take on 2019. It was a very successful and productive day and we look forward to what 2019 brings.
